Masterbatch is usually a product with a high concentration of additives, such as colourants.
‘Masterbatch’ is a special kind of pellets consisting of plastic granules with a high concentration of colour pigments or additives. This concentration is higher than that contained in the end product.
There are three main masterbatch groups: Coloured Masterbatch (monopigmented or in accordance with clients’ specifications), which is used for plastic product colouring, Additive Masterbatch, which defines specific characteristics of end products (e.g. UV stabilisers, fireproofing, antistatic or anti-blocking agents) and then Combined Masterbatch containing both colourants and additives.
Filtec fully meets any masterbatch production needs in a cheap and efficient way. Development usually varies with size.
Excellent results are obtained through masterbatch granulation thanks to our underwater pelletizing systems – both for standard granules and microgranules.
