Industrial Water Filtration and Cooling Systems

Our UFR Industrial Filtration and Cooling Units have been designed and developed to filter and cool down process water from our GRO and UW pelletizing systems, but they can also be used for other production processes.

We have studied and designed UFR mechanical process water filtration and cooling systems in response to the growing demand for savings in terms of resources used in the production system. Indeed, the advantages obtained from the reuse of process water are considerable. Water, when filtered and cooled, makes it possible to reduce the impurities present in the circuit and maintains the desired temperature.

How filtration and cooling systems work

Water coming from our pelletizing system (or other equipment), through a flow distributor / damper, is dropped onto a viscose-covered bed (non-woven fabric) where product waste particles are filtered. Filtered – but still hot – water flows through a wire mash drawer filter, which provides additional protection. Filtered water falls into a collection tank equipped with a level indicator, a temperature probe and other accessories. It is then sucked through an electropump and put in a heat exchanger to be cooled down and, subsequently, reintroduced into the regular production cycle.

It is therefore clear how important it is to reduce water consumption – in the name of greater economic and environmental sustainability.
